[SMM Daily Review on EMM: Market Quotations Slightly Confused, Spot Prices Temporarily Stable] The average spot price of EMM in major production areas was 13,300-13,500 yuan/mt, flat MoM; the average FOB price was $1,845-1,875/mt, also flat MoM. Affected by the alliance meeting, the market remained largely in a wait-and-see mode. Many EMM plants held back from selling, while some EMM quotations remained at high levels, with weak willingness to sell at low prices. Other traders' quotations were slightly confused, and some holders, fearing a downward fluctuation in the EMM market, sold at low prices. However, most EMM holders maintained stable quotations. Downstream buyers were active in inquiries, but actual transactions were sluggish.
